Antonio Lardino was born on 20th May 1958 in Gorgoglione, Matera, Italy.
In 1977 after obtaining his high school diploma from the ‘Liceo Lisippo’ in Taranto, he moved to Florence where he enrolled at the University to study Architecture. On 13th July 1982 he graduated with honours and the following September became a professional, registered architect.
Between his diploma and his university degree, he worked for the Castore Studio in Florence as a designer/draftsman and from 1979 to 1986 as works director for another Florentine company called Ego Arredamenti.
During these 7 years and with the numerous projects carried out both at home and abroad, he increasingly gained experience on a global level which led him to form and outline what was to become his future professional trademark.
At 26 he established his own practise and opened a studio in Prato, Tuscany and another in Taranto, Puglia.
During the next four years he developed many architectural and design projects for residential buildings and third party work, all of which were geared to the kind of methodology and continuity which has now become the strongpoint of his work.
At the end of 1990 he became responsible for residential and commercial projects in Central America (Panama City).
Here he was able to perfect his project development methods which integrated specific tasks within the ethos of collective professionalism.
He took on the services of various engineering studios for the development and analysis of particularly complex subjects and also of the work of specific partners in order to guarantee the complete development of each individual project.

In a very short space of time this work method made it possible for him to realise many projects in Central and North America for important residential buildings, commercial complexes and banking organisations, all the while continuing to operate in Florence, Italy where he set up his main offices. During that period and up to 2004 he collaborated with Bruno Bassi, president of the Verona Furniture Consortium, with whom he worked as artistic and project consultant carrying out superior interior design work for 160 top-range hotels in Italy and abroad. Throughout this long partnership, he researched the various different problems connected to the complex and highly specialised activities of the International Contract sector, becoming a key figure in providing technical and artistic consultancy for “Contracts in Synergy”, a group of B2B venture companies supplying the entire range of products: furniture, bathroom furnishing, fabrics, lighting.

“Caselle Vecchie”, a residential project set in a beautiful hillside location in Martina Franca, Puglia, was started in 2004.
It is a 76.000 sqm site on which 18 residential villas are set, their position in the countryside being the direct result of confrontation and communion with the essential characteristics of the site itself, which revises building traditions by placing the new constructions in context.

Between 2005 and 2006 he was given building projects to work on in the urban area of Panama City and the New York hinterland, as well as looking after various restructuring and interior design furnishing projects for important residential and commercial buildings. During the first few months of 2006 he set up his American offices in Panama City.
